One week to go!

Join us for our first event at Dreamhouse Records, on Thursday 16th March from 7:30pm.

Our first event is nearly upon us! The inaugural meet-up of The Really Strange Record Club will be on Thursday 16th March (ie this time next week), from 7:30pm at the wonderful Dreamhouse Records on Francis Road in Leyton. We’ll bring the soundsystem - you bring the records!

The response to this, frankly, somewhat eccentric idea has been utterly heartwarming to say the least - but the record submissions have been on another level. I was hoping for a few obscurities, but every email has been a total education in the weird and wonderful records sitting on shelves in our little corner of East London. No spoilers here, but suffice it to say I’ve never heard of at least 80% of records you’ve emailed me about, and I can wait to encounter them for the first time in the company of like-minded people.

If you want to bring a record, there’s still time to email me about it and get it on the list! (If you want to chance it and bring something unannounced on the night, I suspect we’ll be able to stick on a track or two, but no promises…)

And if you think this might be up someone’s alley, forward this email onto them, point them to the website or tag us on Instagram - and let’s get the word out to everyone in the area who loves experimental, DIY, off-kilter or just plain odd music.
